How to crochet foundation half treble crochet stitches?

(US: foundation half double crochet). When crocheting you usually start with a chain of chain stitches. Foundation half treble crochet stitches is a lovely alternative, especially if continuing the work with half treble crochet stitches. The edge appear softer and looser, and it is easier to adjust the length of the work as you proceed. In a way, it is like crocheting a foundation of slip stitches and a first row of half treble crochet stitches at the same time.

Try it out (UK): 3 chain stitches. Crochet the first chain stitch a little loose. Yarn over, put the hook through booth loops in the first chain stitch and pull the yarn through (make sure this loop is a little loose on the hook, and at the same height as the other loops already on the hook. Hvordan legge opp med halvstaver?

Vanligvis legger man opp heklearbeider med en snor av luftmasker. Halvstavopplegg er et fint alternativ, særlig om man skal hekle halvstaver videre på arbeidet. Kanten blir løsere og mykere, og man kan bedre beregne lengden på arbeidet underveis. I praksis blir det som å både legge opp og å hekle først rad med halvstaver samtidig.

Hekle slik: 3 luftmasker. Hekle den første luftmasken litt løsere. 1 kast, stikk nålen igjennom begge løkkene i første maske (vri gjerne litt på arbeidet for å komme til) og trekk igjennom (denne løkken skal være litt stor og løs på nålen, så den er på høyde med de andre løkkene på nålen. Dette for at arbeidet ikke skal bøye seg), 1 kast, trekk igjennom kun den første løkken på nålen, 1 kast, trekk igjennom alle løkkene på nålen. Gjenta: * 1 luftmaske, 1 kast, stikk nålen igjennom begge løkkene i forrige maske og trekk igjennom (denne løkken skal altså være litt stor og løs på nålen og på høyde med de andre løkkene på nålen), 1 kast, trekk igjennom første maske på nålen, 1 kast, trekk igjennom alle maskene på nålen*. Fortsett slik til ønsket lengde på oppleggskanten eller til hva oppskrift oppgir.
